The Abberior-made super-resolution STED microscope unit STEDYCON can be easily upgraded to a STED microscope by attaching it to the C-mount of existing fluorescence microscopes. It achieves imaging with a resolution of 30nm while keeping initial investment low. It is equipped with four lasers, multiple interchangeable pinholes, and up to four APDs.
